May Blitz!

Bay Waveland Area Habitat for Humanity
is proud to be a participating site for the
2008 Carter Work Project, May 12th-16th

Every year, former president Jimmy Carter and former first lady Rosalyn Carter dedicate a week of their time to build homes with Habitat volunteers and partner families. This year, the Carters will join thousands of participants throughout the Gulf Coast as they build homes in hurricane ravaged communities. Bay-Waveland Area Habitat for Humanity will host approximately 300 volunteers to build ten homes in the Diamondhead community. The Carters will visit Diamondhead on Thursday morning, May 15th, to help dedicate the homes.

From Portland Oregon -

I can't wait to meet all of you, the families for whom we will be building, and to visit the coast area.
