Meeting up with their team leaders, the volunteers quickly went to work and within a few hours the first walls of the ten houses went up. By lunch, many of the houses had finished up the framing and had moved onto putting the sheeting onto the walls and constructing part of the roofs.

After another hardy meal provided by the Salvation Army, the work continued with more sheeting and such. All the volunteers pushed through and worked hard to put up the homes. Many walls were built, but many more friendships were made.

See y'all tomorrow for more hard work.

Welcome Volunteers!

Last night at Lagniappe Presbyterian Church, all the volunteers for the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project came together to meet each other and learn about what they would be doing for the next week.
